Many people seldom notice that the carbonization process of machine-made charcoal directly affects the quality of machine-made charcoal. The ash content of machine-made charcoal will vary with the carbonization process and temperature. However, as far as wood or leftover materials are concerned, the difference in ash content after charcoal is not big. Generally speaking, under the same conditions as above, the charcoal fired in broad-leaved forest is higher than that in coniferous forest, and raw materials with a large bark ratio are fired. The content of volatile matter (substance) depends on the carbonization temperature. According to different uses, we can burn low- and medium-temperature machine-made charcoal, or high-temperature machine-made charcoal. The former emits CO, CO2, H2, CH4 and gaseous carbohydrates and other volatiles during high-temperature calcination, and its content is generally 12-20%. The above-mentioned volatile matter released by high-temperature machined carbon is less, and its content is generally less than 5%.
The calorific value, the amount of neng released per kilogram of machine-made charcoal under certain conditions, expressed in kcal. The calorific value of charcoal is directly related to the carbonization temperature and holding time. Under the same carbonization temperature and holding time, the calorific value of different raw materials is different.
The ash content of machine-made charcoal will vary with the carbonization process and temperature. The so-called ash is the white or pink material remaining after the charcoal is completely burned, which is what we usually call ash. The amount of ash directly affects the use and economic value of charcoal.
