Caution must be exercised when using this type of hookah charcoal. Half-burned coals should not be placed on the bowl, as this may result in a bitter taste. Always wait until they are completely burned through and red hot before using.
Also, do not hold the charcoal in your hands when it is lit, and avoid touching it after it is lit, as there is a risk of burns.
Finally, after use, it is important to allow the charcoal to burn and cool completely (possibly with water to extinguish ash residue) before disposing of it, as disposing of charcoal residue in the trash can be dangerous.
